Shevonne is a lactation professional and full circle doula with over two decades of community and personal experience. A mama to three young adults, she’s learned not only through multiple trainings, but also through her personal experiences as she nursed through tongue ties, persistent thrush, severe food allergies, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, the toddler and preschool years, and sensory processing disorders. These are just a handful of the many experiences that allow her to provide outstanding, compassionate, trauma-informed support to families throughout their baby-feeding journeys.
As a traditional birth keeper and lactation educator, Shevonne’s cultural fluency allows her to support families from all walks of life. Trained in the ways of the traditional African American granny midwife and doula, she is passionate about reclaiming and restoring ancestral knowledge, traditions, and rituals. Her goal is to better support, strengthen, and empower families in her community. She is a healer, an advocate, auntie, and kind stranger to many.
