Jodilyn is a Licensed Midwife and co-founder of this organization.  She was born and raised in Seattle and raised her own family in South Seattle, working as a doula and parenting educator for 13 years before becoming a midwife.  Jodilyn loves teaching and learning from the families she serves and her colleagues and students.  She is passionate about community-based work and increasing capacity within the midwifery community to serve from a public health stance. A born collaborator, she is thrilled to be working on a team innovating programs and services that delight healthcare consumers and the providers who serve them.

Jodilyn has been a midwife since 2012, practicing in Seattle and in Memphis, TN.  She joins the RVM midwifery team with a focus on families who are seeking birth center or hospital births.  She builds her practice around the idea that parents know themselves and their babies best, and her work is designed to promote this first relationship.  She provides individualized, gentle, and holistic pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care for families planning a home or hospital birth.

Jodilyn is our Director of Clinical Partnerships and provides infrastructure development, guides clinical programs and partnerships, leads collaborative rounds, and supports students from multiple health professions and public health programs. She completed her masters in Maternal Child Health Systems in 2021.  

 

Above all, she is passionate about innovating and serving at the intersection of love and justice and healthcare.
